ALVA....Alva was born in the former Capital of Jamaica - Spanish Town, and was later raised in Sandy Bay Clarendon, a small town South of May Pen, Clarendon. Alva later proved himself to be a very good student in High School, but was eventually bitten by the music bug at an early age and saw music as his career path.
However, football was Alva’s first love and the artiste was also considered a high school ‘Football star’. The talented artiste entered the divisional finals and won high school premierships. Although he was a natural on the field, his soccer dreams were quickly replaced by a microphone at age 15, when his cousin, (Bounty Killers road manager) Peter Nar introduced him to a studio which his friend gave him the chance to sing on a track…a musical legend in that moment was born.
The stage was set for Alva’s first release, of six hard hitting social commentary tracks. The EP which was released in December 2010, and was affectionately titled: THE WORLD THROUGH MY EYES – CHAPTER 1.
Nevertheless the artiste later aligned himself with multi talented producers out of Jamaica, producers such as: Garfield ‘Fadda G’ Cowan and Shawn ‘SSMG’ Scott among others, which the artiste delivered six tracks on Jamaican life, politics, poverty, world affairs, and even love. KING MAS...King Mas is the product of diverse musical genres. He is a native of Boston, Massachusetts, born to Caribbean parents. His father,Supreme, is the legendary calypso monarch from the island of Montserrat, and his mother is from Clarendon, Jamaica. She nurtured and encouraged the young King to perform with the church band, which played gospel music in mainly reggae and calypso styles. It was this initial exposure, the encores that were often demanded, and his exposure to R&B music that added fuel to the inborn musical fire of King.
To date, King Mas has performed in and outside the U.S. , from Norway to South Africa, touching Lebanon in between. He has previously released several singles, including his hit song "One Wish." Now, "Rasta Evolution" and "Ocean Of Emotion" will leave you craving for more King Mas, and he can surely deliver with more songs waiting in the wings.
